Why self-improvement is never enough.
Self-help convinces us that if we keep working hard enough on ourselves, peace and fulfillment will eventually be ours. But over time, the constant pursuit of becoming better can quietly reinforce the feeling that we’re still not quite there yet.
Real peace doesn’t come from endlessly chasing a future version of yourself. It begins when the pressure and demand for things be different starts to soften. This doesn’t mean we don’t continue ‘working’ on ourselves or improving our situation—only that now, we do it from alignment, presence and peace.
